Ivanhoe v Bourne End - 12 June 2010  

The reoccurring story.  Bowled and fielded well apart from a couple of lapses later in the Bourne End innings but failed to capitalize when batting.  

Bourne End chose to bat and on a pitch livelier than usual after mid week rain found the ball regularly going past the edge of the bat as they struggled to score.  Andy C attempting to repeat last years feat on the equivalent weekend against Coopers took the first 3 wickets to fall ending with 3 for 25 from 8 overs and Andy H bowled a typically tight spell without any luck finished with 0 for 16 from his 8 overs.  

With Ciaran replacing Andy and bowling his best spell of the season taking 3 for 34 in 6 over and Max 2 for 33 from 8 overs from the other end Bourne End were soon reduced to 57 for 8.  However 9^th & 10^th wickets stands of 46 and 27 allowed Bourne End to close on 130 all out as Adrian finished with 1 for 10 from 4 overs and Lionel 1 for 6 from 1.4 overs.  2 catches behind by Bob and one each for Adrian, Phil K and Denis, but the later lapses in the field were to prove costly later in the game.  

In reply Den departed early for 5 but a 2^nd wicket stand of 38 between Bob (29) and Max (21) steadied matters.  However wickets fell regularly and depite a 9^th wicket stand of 19 between Ciaran (7no) and Adrian (22) and only 4 an over needed in the closing overs the innings closed 16 short of victory on 115.
