Ivanhoe v Coopers - 3 May 2008 Batting first for the third match running having been put in to bat, Ives’ recovered from losing Mike in the first over and built around 46 from Mat, and a resolute 49 not out from Bob, posted a score of 154 for 8 in their 40 overs on a slow, difficult wicket, helped by Adrian 13, and late contributions from Chris Felstead 9, and Malcolm 12. For Coopers the pick of the bowlers was Wallace with 3 for 19 in his 8 overs. At the start of Coopers innings Chris F (0 for 24 in 6 overs) and Lawrence (1 for 11 in 8 overs) again bowled tightly, and with Andy continuing where he left off in the first two matches taking 4 for 34 in his 8 overs, including the wicket of Dormer who made 34, 2 wickets from Phil, and 1 each from Mat and Mike were enough for Ive’s to keep up their winning start to the season with Coopers all out for 102 in 26 overs, with Chris Parnell taking an excellent first catch for the Ives to complete the win. |
