Mat Martin

In the short time Mat played for the club; 3 years from June 2005 to August 2008 he established himself as a mainstay of the club both on and off the field and certainly the best batsman Ivanhoe has seen for many years with 5 centuries during that period and a top score of 129 not out. Added to this his abilities with the ball in his hand, as the occasional fiery spell attested to, should not be forgotten and the stats below over the three years whilst speaking for themselves do not do justice to Mat’s contribution to the club over that period.

Having returned home to New Zealand Mat will be sorely missed but hopefully we’ll see him back at sometime in the future. In the meantime we wish Mat & Tess all the best for the future.
